2006 - Triad's Year in review
2006 Was a good year for Triad Continuum. We saw many successes, many achievements and lots of growth. Our acomplishments, while trivial to many of the larger guilds, were significant to us and gives testimony to the strength, tenacity and perserverance of TC and the good will of it's members.
We explored many new zones, raided new content and acquired great upgrades for many of our members. We were successful in obtaining more than two dozen Epic weapons, with most of those being Epic 1.5's. We had fun with Fabled Mobs and reaquainted ourselves with some of our old favorites. As a Guild, we finally entered into the Elemental Zones and as we said goodbye to PoP progression, we extended our arms to embrace the new challenges of OOW, DoN, PoR and TSS.
As we look ahead to 2007, we foresee another year full of excitement, fun and comradarie. We know the year will bring with it more challenges, more Guild Firsts, more individual accomplishements and many more opportunities for those who carry the Triad Tag.

12/22/06- FINAL EPIC OF THE YEAR
Our own favorite Red Wizzy earns the respected honor of becoming the final Epic endowed Triad Member for 2006. Danar has been working diligently in the pursuit of his 1.5 and the hard work has finally paid off.
Congrats Danar on his new 1.5!

And with this, aside from a few odd raids, the year comes to a close for Triad Continuum. Look for more from us next year as we continue our journey throughout the lands of Norrath.
12/04/06- S'MATTA U? MORE EPICS!
After picking up Skornax's Epic Shield on Friday, it was time for one of our favorite Bards to FINALLY complete his! After dispatching some Minions in Kithicore Forest, we moved on to the Plane of Torment to take out one more nasty mob and a roadblock. After these two seamless encounters, we had one glowing Bard on our hands.
Join TC in congratulating Zippy on finally ending the nightmare <grin> and in picking up his new shiney:

12/01/06- VISION QUEST

Friday, TC decided to do a little changup from their focus on ToB Mobs and moved over to Lesser Fay to give Skornax a hand with his 1.5 Epic quest.
After easily defeating the undead, TC deftly moved over to Wakening Lands where we helped to complete his Epic Quest by defeating his final mob and thus ending his 1.5 quest.
Congrats Skornax on his new shield!
Check out a close up visiting us >>> HERE<<<
11/03/06 - THEATER OF BLOOD (Part II)
Farming this zone continued on this past Friday. As more TC acquire the Chime required to zone in, we were able to explore further into the zone. Loot wise, it was a VERY good night (especially if you were a Bard) :

Visit H E R E for the rest of the loot drops for the night.
Yeah, I call "FIX" on the Bard dropping mobs in this zone :P Congrats to all!
10/23/06 - THEATER OF BLOOD
It started out as any other Raid, except that only a Handful of TC were able to complete their ToB flagging and zone into this zone. Still greatly unexplored by Triad, we managed to get several people in to get a taste of what was to come. Visit us HERE for a sampling of several mobs in this zone (and get teased with the loot this zone has to offer).

10/13/06 - FRIDAY THE 13TH

Yep. Firday the 13th. That's a day of superstition, where most people are reminded of omens of bad luck. Bad Luck like, breaking a mirror, spilling the salt or walking under a ladder.
It's also the day that TC decided was appropriate to issue some payback. It was the day TC scheduled a return visit to our own "Darth Vader" of Everquest - Rallos Zek the Warlord. Previous attempts weren't always successful. We had issues with all the adds, with DPS and with keeping our healers in the zone.
But Friday the 13th told a different story. This was the day that was destined to be unlucky for Rallos. Not only has TC refined the raiding process but we were also successful in taking down RZ in near record time. The DPS groups were great and put out DPS quickly and efficiently. The Kite Teams did an excellent job of keeping most of the adds occupied. The result was a successful win, TC style and will conclude this round of PoP Backflagging.
Congrats to all who earned their flags! More story and loot awards can be found HERE.
10/03/06 - THE SERPENT'S SPINE
WOW! (No, not that WoW) All we could say was WOW. Once TSS released, TC took a two week hiatus from raiding in order to allow folks to grind as much experience as possible and hopefuly get to level 75. Along the way, we found out some interesting facts about our guildies, the new zones, new quests and new mobs.
A sample of some of the drops off of "trash" mobs include:

Some of the mobs we ran into we were able to successfully take on with an experienced group. Other new mobs that we tried, wrote a different story into TC pages of history. Win or Lose, we had a great time exploring the new zones and taking on new challenges to break up the montony of grinding up to 75.

For more peeks at mobs and loot, visit this newspage HERE and for fans of Dartanyen, you can find an update on his adventures HERE. Also, make sure you visit the QUOTES page, we've added a few more spontaneous comments made by our members over the past few weeks. Gotta love those guys....
9/19/06 - DING!!
Yep, it's patch day! And not just a regular run of the mill patch either. Today was the launch of Everquests 12th expansion, The Serpent's Spine. Anxiously awaited by fans everywhere, the patch was huge. Take a look at the PATCH NOTES for additional details. One big item of note: Level Caps have been increasted to 75! Congrats to those who Dinged within minutes of the servers coming online:

Logging in was troublesome for many and as the expansion was a Digital Download only, some players were treated to several hours of downloading. Once logged in however, there were plenty of comments on the new Dracin race, the changes to Mana Regen and the appearance of the new zones. It wasn't too much longer after that, that the servers crashed. Not completely unexpected behavior by those who have survived big patches in the past.
We should announce that with the new expansion now LIVE, TC has placed all official raids on a two week hiatus. We're hoping this gives our members an opportunity to take advantage of the new level cap and grind out some experience and AA's.
IN OTHER NEWS
As usual, TC's been keeping busy! If you can't find us in Ferubi hunting Cleric Map pieces, you can find us in the Wall of Slaughter, farming runes:
In the last two runs at this guy, we managed to pick up 4 runes and a very nice tunic:
Congrats to Forwat and Chawn on the nice upgrades!
Plane of Fire
The Monday before patch day, found a few lucky folks travelling into what was unexplored territory for several. The mobs were much more challenging. But in the end, TC persevered and removed all the named mobs in the Zone. Never underestimate the determination of TC! Congrats all who attended and thank you for helping us achieve our success. Due to limited Piggy space, we were unable to accomodate as many people as we would have liked for a treat into this zone. We hope to rememdy that soon, however. Click this link for a few SCREENSHOTS of the action and loot!
9/2/06 - ENDLESS SUMMER
Summer is finally over and as we look back over the past few weeks, we're proud of the accomplishments we've made. We've completed PoP Progression for most, with only two major fights left for many. We've begun moving into GoD and Planar Zones. We've begun Ikkinz and Tipt Trials, completed countless DoN Missions, DoD Missions, and PoR missions. We've gotten many of our members their 1.5 Epics and have moved many more closer to achieving theirs. Visit this LINK for some highlights of the last six weeks.
Traditionally, this time of year sees Guild Numbers wane as people return to the grind and get a jump on school or work. This is typical and lasts only a few weeks. On September 19th, the new expansion, "The Serpent's Spine" will launch. Immediately following launch, TC will discontinue raiding for two weeks only, and we encourage our members to use that time to level up to the new Level 75 Cap. After that two-week sebattical, we'll move back to our regular raiding schedule.
PROMOTIONS
With TC's growth this summer, we also saw some much deserved promotions. Congratulations are in order for CHAWN, ELANAINA / ALASIA and VIOLETTE and thank you for your continuing contributions to the Guild. I think it's also important to recognize existing Officers for their recent contributions to the Guild. Many don't really know what goes on behind the scenes or how much work it really is trying to keep a guild moving in the right direction, plan and lead a raid, and deal with the minutae that always creeps up. So thanks to EINILE , CAELLUS , MALIFON , DANAR / ZEESPEEDE , JALCEA , TNESY (who is just rejoining us after his recent deployment) and EXOTIC (who is leveling up to replace his old character). Why do we have so many Officers? Real Life being what it is, Officers aren't always available. Some are in the military, some are hard working on their careers and others just have committments outside of the game. With the current mix however, chances are you'll find at least one online at any given time ready and available to assist you with any administrative issues.
RECRUITMENT CHANGES
Triad also changed our recruitment process during the summer and we have eliminated the role of "Sponsor" for new applicants. Instead, we have appointed LORDWINTER as Applicant Liason. In Lord's new role, he will help Applicant's become acclimated to TC, evaluate their needs and their potential and report back the the voting committee. Congrats to LORDWINTER and thank you for taking on such a demanding role.
On the subject of recruitment, TC will soon be re-evaluating new applicant's requirements for membership. If you have been holding off in applying to TC, you may have more stringent requirements to meet in the near future. Apply now HERE if you wish to get in before requirements change.
That's our update for now. Please remember to visit our FORUMS to stay informed!

7/13/06 - A LONG TERM GOAL FINALLY REALIZED
![]()
And so it was that tonight, TC ventured into the Elementals for the first time as a guild. After months of hard work and waiting for the proper numbers to earn their flags, TC first stepped foot into the Plane of Earth.. and we will never be the same. Another chapter in TCs history has been closed, and a new one has been opened. Congrats to all who were able to participate and thanks to all who helped make it possible!
Here, we find Drefanie carefully planning her battle strategy:

7/7/06 - A BIG NIGHT FOR KAZBAR
You can never be too thin, too rich or have too many Epic'ed Warriors! Tonight we took on Kazbar's final epic fight.
It wasn't easy but what do you expect? Fortunately, the event was a success and Kazbar now proudly weilds this little pocketknife:

But the night didn't end there. Our combined raid forces moved to The City of Mist to aid Rag in a fight of epic (2.0) proportions. Ok, maybe the mob was scared but he went down faster than anticipated and Rag is just a little closer to completing his quest.
Continuing on, the call was heard from Hobbs, who needed assistance on an Epic fight of his own. And then finally moving on to BoT to farm some gear for our newer members. See the pics HERE and read the rest of the story!
7/5/06 - A BUSY NIGHT, A PRODUCTIVE NIGHT, A SAD NIGHT
Tonight we were scheduled to take out an Epic mob for Halwrath. Unfortunately, timing didn't work out too well and the turn-in mob poofed before we even had a chance to begin. Picking up the reins and running, we moved over to Arcstone where we were fortunate to find most of the named mobs up and available for the plucking! Congrats to Raimes and Ssvoch on picking up new cloaks!

We then returned to our regularly scheduled programming and found Halwrath's mob up and waiting for a visit from TC.
Afterwards, Several TC found their way to the Lake of Ill Omen to assist Exite in completing his 1.0.
For the pics and the rundown, visit the newspage HERE !
Finally, I'm sad to announce that our own Neurye, Officer and Raid Leader, has decided to move on and grant some fortunate guild, the pleasure of his company. TC will miss Neurye and recognizes that he was very instrumental in helping the guild progress to it's current level. On behalf of all of TC, good luck and safe journey to one of our favorite Necros!
6/30/06 - ANOTHER EPIC, ANOTHER FAREWELL
One of the most fun fights I've been a part of, is killing my fellow Paladin, Sir Elmonious Falmont for the Shadowknight Epic. Despite the conflicted emotions of killing another Pally (we have afterall, slain many a Deity) we took on this Sir Elmonious for our own Kaelilea who reaped her final reward and achieved her 1.5! Sadly, as I write this, Kaelilea has recently decided to continue her journey with another guild. TC wishes the best to her wherever she goes.

For the final result and to see the fruits of TCs labor, check out the news page !
6/28/06 - A PALLY AND HIS DRAGON
It's not everyday that TC runs around looking for a dragon to slay. This dragon in fact was actually the property of one Zeespeede, a TC Officer and the drgaon in question was only a small part of a huge forray into chaos! With perseverence, TC was able to get Zee his epic drop and move him further along in the quest.

A special "Last Man Standing" award goes out to Edimas, who even as we were in the process of doing a large and complicated Corpse Retrieval, was spied still kiting mobs around in this room. Unfortunately, we were unable to get any screenshots to memorialize the affair.
Congrats to Zeespeede as he "inches" closer to that 1.5 by looting his very own Blackened Dragon Bone. (Theres a joke in there somewhere).
6/28/06 - AN EVENING IN NOBLES
It would be nice if we could get everyone caught up on the Rune spells. Yes, it's just a simple matter of farming those mobs that drop them but it still takes some time to organize and then dealing with EVERYONE wanting the runes. Still, it's something we try to farm when we can fit it into the schedule.
On this day, we were fortunate to find a few rune dropping beasts up and they had TCs name stamped on their forhead. Besides the runes, we also managed to pick up a few nice upgrades for three relatively new members. Congrats to Lordwinter, Nenari, and Cell on some nice LOOT!
6/23/06 - MO' EPICS!
TC's been working hard at getting as many people their Epics as possible. But make no mistake, there's a backlog of folks still waiting to get their fights done, their mobs killed and progress to the next stage.
Monday was Edimas' and Dartanyen's turn however. After getting a little sidetracked with an uncooperative mob in UP, we moved over to WoS to take care of the Griplan Guardian for the Wizard 1.5 Epic. WHAT A PITA!! This guy was a pain but in the end, TC won the round and Edimas now proudly weilds his 1.5!
Congrats to Edimas, it was a long journey and well deserved reward for an overworked, underpaid, expendable member of the elite fighting force!
We quickly regrouped back in the Umbral Planes, to revisit the Netherbain Swarmfiend. With Aaik as the MA, (who went down almost as fast as Zeespeed's trousers) TC prevailed and the event was a success! Congrats to Dart on completing this challenging and time consuming quest!
For a closer look and to check out more screenies and other loots that were had by viewing the news thread HERE!
Afterwards, a few of us headed out to good 'ol Karnor's Castle. Home of the original Train! Thizpace was after Venril Sathir who happened to grace us with his presence.. even if it was only for a short time. Once he was down, it set the timer for the other VS who could spawn anytime in the next 24 hours. But in the mean time, congrats to Forcast who as able to loot this little item for his 1.0!
6/21/06 - HAND OF MAESTRO, MUJAKI AND SHADE OF MUJAKI
We've been working hard on getting epic quests completed for our guild's members. But we're not forgetting those that are still after their 1.0s. So, making a quick run to the Plane of Hate, we found the mob up for Runkyn's 1.0 epic. In true form, the zone didn't have a chance and the Hand of Maestro fell quickly. Congrats to Ruk on getting nearer to completion!
We then shifted gears and expansions and headed out to the Plane of Nightmare for one of Aaikan's epic raid events. Mujaki is a very simple event with some complications thrown in just to confuse you. But once again, TC mustered together 24 people to give this even a whirl and pick up a needed 1.5 quest item for Guild Leader, Aaikan. We had four full groups and it was still a bit overkill! Mujaki dropped faster than Zeespeede's trousers in a bath house and the Shade of Mujaki dropped soon afterwards. Thanks to all who lended their assitance and congrats to Aaikan on getting one step closer to his 1.5!
Check out the loots by clicking HERE
6/14/06 - EMOUSH
Wednesday's are typically a little slow for TC, so we tend to schedule lighter mobs or encounters. This Wednesday, our target was Emoush (24 max. participants). It was fun, fast and flawless. Congrats to TC for a very nice 1 round kill! Congratulations to Hobs, Raimes, Halwrath, Kworm, Neurye and Chawn on picking up their GLOWING STONE FRAGMENT. They're now ready for the next level in DoN progression.
Also congrats to Ralsail on picking up a New Bracer !
6/12/06 - PoP BACKFLAGGING CONTINUES
The question was: Which side does Grummus wear his nipplering? Inquiring minds wanted to know! So off went TC and THF to ask the big man to find out! If you're curious too, check out this LINK for all the fun details.
Meanwhile, one of TC's applicants ponders:

6/9/06 - WHAT RHYMES WITH URINAL?
Friday was a busy night for TC and THF. Not only did we get Reo his long-sought-after epic 1.5 fight, we also took out the Netherbain Swarmfiend, fit in a Gimblax kill and helped Zaylo pick up another item for her 1.5!

This time, Reo had better luck getting this guy to spawn. It was a very busy and productive evening with TC and THF. Visit this LINK for all the details, more pics and loot shots.
6/5/06 - A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE DRAGON!
Just for schitz and giggles (and maybe a factory key or three), we went retro and took on our old friend Xanamech in the Plane of Innovation! Along the way, we found the JUNK BEAST up. Not wanting to miss an opportunity and since Elanaina was in need of an epic drop from the the little trash compactor, we decided to take him out! Congratulations to Elan on picking up some new goo!

After making scrap metal of the Junk Beast, we moved on toward our old friend Xanamech. The fight was simple, straightforward, and short. Congrats to all who obtained their Factory key!
5/31/06 - REPEAT CONGRATS!
This time to Jenishia of THF! Once again, TC and THF ventured into the Wakening Lands, this time to help out Jennishia complete her 1.5. It was a little messy when we lost a tank, but we recovered well, thought quickly and managed to go for the win! Congrats Jen on getting your shield!
Also congrats to Neurye for winning a new head piece. Pics can be found by visiting here!
5/26/06 - CONGRATS TO EINILE ON HER EPIC 1.5!
We haven't been having much luck lately with epic mobs, due to either Bug Issues or other issues outside of our contol. (Thanks Ranja Rickie for ganking our target).
But we were lucky last night on at least one target and managed to help Einile pick up her Epic 1.5. Visit us HERE for all the details.

5/23/06 - IT'S BEEN A CRAZY FEW WEEKS!
TC's been busy! We've whacked all Sol Ro Mini's at least once, found time to fit in some Epic Fights, we've accomplished some backflagging but the big guy himself, So Ro, continues to elude us.
After being led the Master Paladin himself, Sir Caellus of Triad Continuum, brought us a flawless break-in to Sol's Chamber. Unfortunately, despite his promise to us, a player outside of TC decided to Three Box the big guy and steal our show. We'll be back to visit Sol again, this time not taking the word of any one from that guild again.
Then there was the time when TC's EVIL Dark Elves (Necros and Shadowknights) forced Sir Caellus to tank his own Deity! Find out what happend and what evil necro's do to amuse themselves by visiting our forums.

For news and screenies of our latest adventures, visit our forums or CLICK HERE !
5/01/06 - TRIAD BEGINS A WEEK IN SOL RO
TC's been growing as have our allies in THF. We're trying hard to help complete flagging for many folks and start the long process of flagging those new members who are also new to the Planes. So, keeping true to our promise, we have begun a week long event of backflagging! And what better place to start than with the Mini's in Sol Ro! Check out the action (and the loot) < HERE >
4/24/06 - RALLOS ZEK FALLS (Film at 11:00)
Rallos Zek the Warlord, that little tyrant of a demi-god who rules over Drunder, Fortress of Zek, may have a bit of a hangover this morning. Mustering their forces, Triad Continuum and their friends in THF along with some guests from KoE, took this bad boy down. Considering the size of the raid froce, the number of flagged vs. piggies, it went very smoothly with only a couple of hitches.
For additional details, click HERE
4/21/06 - VALLON ZEK DOWNED YET AGAIN!

In a smal scale raid, Vallon Zek was downed once again, falling to the combined forces of Triad and Erchog from THF. Click HERE for the screenshots and the full story.
4/20/06 - AAIKAN RESIGNS FROM TRIAD!

What manner to trickery is this? Could it be true? Have the vile henchpersons finally won and driven Aaik out? Click HERE for the full story!
4/7/06 - MEETING
For the first time in more than 2 years, TC held a meeting tonight to refocus our direction, re-enforce some guild policies, formally announce the new Website and invite a few more guildies into the Loot Committee. Congratulations to Coachz, Drefanie, Quinnman and Genothor on joining the Loot Committee!
The transcript of the meeting will be posted internally for TC Members to view.
After the meeting, which was held in Arena, some felt the need to attack and kill the Guild Leader, Aaikan. (Like they don't do that enough on raids already!) Fortunately, one Knight was brave enough to step forward to defeat the would be evil-doers! Thanks Caellus for for defending the honor of Mithaniel Marr!
4/6/06 - WELCOME TO TRIAD'S NEW HOME
Welcome to Triad Continuum's new website! It wasn't easy to part with our old home at Guild Portal however the desire for greater flexibility, particularly in the forums area, required us to consider another option. This new site will be updated frequently, at least as often as our old site was.
If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to create a new User I.D. for our forums. Unfortunately, it will be necessary for anyone who wishes to use the forums to create an ID. Anonymous posting won't be allowed. I promise to validate new users within 24 hours, and during these times when everyone will be re-creating new login information, I'll be validating as often as possible until we have all our old members registered.
Eventually, the old Triad site will be cancelled however I will give everyone a heads up when that will occur. In the mean time, we'll continue to move all posts of a relevant nature to our new forums. This would include strats, tips, special links, expansion progression etc. plus some of the more whimsical threads such as our "Show Yourself" thread.
I hope you''ll enjoy the new site. There's still a few things that must be completed but feel free to enjoy. And please let me know if you have any problems.

4/4/06 - FABLED FARMING CONTINUES
TC and THF decides to move to the colder climates and takes on some fabled dragons and a fabled rhino to boot. Click HERE for the full story.
3/29/06 - ANOTHER NIGHT OF FABLED MOBS
TC takes on Kael Drakkal and The Fabled Kallis Stormcaller, The Fabled Derakor The Vindicator and The Fabled Statue of Rallos Zek. Click HERE for the full story.
3/27/06 - REELING IN A BIG FISH
After almost a week of gruelling double experience where almost everyone was grinding out Levels and AA's, TC finally got a chance to go after one of the larger Fabled mobs.
We were fortunate to find the Fabled Kelorek`Dar up and swimming in the pond we know as Cobal Scar. It took some doing but we finally managed to come away with a nice drop.
