TRIAD NEWS
12/21 - "TWAS FOUR KNIGHTS BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WHEN ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE...."
Friday Night is Anguish Night at TC. Continuing to Farm Keldo, Ture, Hanvar and a small handful of Aug Droppers, TC continues to build up their members resources in weapons and gear. Tonight was a particularly enriching run as we were able to upgrade our crew with multiple drops:
"HANVAR'S SEEN BETTER DAYS"
Now that Ture, Keldo and Hanvar are official "FARM" Mobs, TC's been focusing our efforts in obtaining useful upgrades from these mobs and this zone. Among the items that dropped tonight:
This tastey Augment dropped twice for us tonight, giving two of our Knights (Aaikan and Adryea) a very nice addition to their collection.
Now we're talking some loot! This new sword was awarded to Adry - who won it by default (being the ONLY Shadowknight who could make it to the raid)! Adryea was grateful, thanking us and offering her consolation to another TC Shadowknight: "YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE ERCHOG!" She's so.... lady like and all...
This nice range item also fell out of Hanvar's pocket tonight and fell into the hands of Dakthor..
All in all, it's nice to see TC pulling together and turning what used to be an unreachable zone, into the next "Tilted Kilt".... ripe and plump for the picking! Congrats to all winners!
12/12 - WTF DID WE JUST DO???
So...on a whim (and partially due to lower than normal raid attendence because of the holidays), Dakthor gets something up his arse to go and throw some TC folks at a new, untried mob. This "new" mob happened to be Matriarch Shyra .
Yes, I know what you're thinking. We're too few. We didn't have enough clerics online. Our DPS was low. Heck, it's the holidays... we get it. But then something odd happened that we really didnt' expect. We won. We kicked her ass! Yes, Shyra got her licks in as well but TC pulled it out in a near fight to the end. It was close but we won and we won with having less than our regular "A" game on.
Triad was very pleased to see the following loot drop from Shyra's fur lined pockets:
Congratulations to Tofus on winning a new weapon upgrade!
And Congratulations to Drefanie on this new shiny! (I know it's not Tiffany's but maybe next time...)

Congrats TC on yet another job well done!
12/07 - KELDO DOWNED ~
Continuing in their efforts to take ownership of Anguish, TC hit another milestone today when we finally took down Keldo in a near flawless victory. Past attempts at this mob were both challenging and promising and we knew it would only be a matter of time until we were successful.
TC was pleased to see what offerings Keldo's corpse made to the Guild:
Congrats to Aaikan on the Hammer and to Zabuu on picking up this nice Range item.
We're pleased to see the fruits of our labor in this zone, working hard to perfect our strategy and ultimately boast some winning kills for this zone. Congrats again TC, very well done.
11/13 - SECRETS OF FAYDWER RELEASED ~
Celebrating Sony's newest expansion for Everquest, several Guild members have been getting the grind on in the hopes of winning a purse to the frist three members to reach 80.
So far, Zabuu has won the dubious honor of taking 1st place and stole a purse containing 100,000 plat! Congrats Zabuu! We know you have no life and now, so does everyone else!
Second and Third place winners have yet to be determined but it's looking like Quinnman will be among the winners. Each of the winners will also take home a 100,000 plat purse. Stay tuned for more!
TRIAD TAKES ANGUISH BY STORM ~
The best achievements are those that you earn on your own, as TC charges forward perfecting their strategy and tactics in taking down Anguish mobs. We may not have the uber gear, and buttload of AAs but it's one thing you can say about TC, we have heart and drive and the tenacity to stick to something until we win.
With Anguish mobs closly approaching TC's "farm", we're looking forward to our next conquests. Certainly, we have much more we can do in Anguish before we're ready to move on and we've got a little ways to go before we start aiming for a new target. But in the mean time, the gear is good.. the loot is good.. and the personal satisfaction of kicking ass in TC's very own inimitable style is... priceless.
Here's a glimpse of some of the fantastic goodies we've been carting away from this zone:
Congrats to Mezmirizen and Sunyar on their new toys!
Here, we see Erchog (doing the Ceremonial Happy Skittles Dance) walking away recently with this nice shiny:
While Wildwilly snuck away with one of these:
And let us not forget what Triad bestowed upon it's very own guild leader:

..and this fine little gem for Aenarye:
It's not ALL about Anguish however, we're still focusing on DoN Dragons. T'Shara was recently kind enough to leave these behind for Traid to pillage:
Congrats to the winners!
Yep, in the long run, there's one thing that holds true about Triad Continuum. We don't quit. We're kind of proud of that fact. Despite the little drama's that come our way, we keep moving ahead. So while you may see other guilds come and go, TC's still here and we're still kicking booty!
- Aaik
- Busy Six Weeks -
Triad Continuum's focus has change slightly over the past several weeks. Yes, we're still farming ToB a bit but most of our focus has turned toward Anguish, Katta and DoN targets. TC's been honing their skills and testing themselves against the likes of Ture and Hanvar and a gaggle of assorted Augment mobs. Additionally, we've been picking up quite a few Orbs needed for 2.0 completion and as a side benefit, several Seals of Master of All so that our piggies don't have to be piggies any longer.
Recently, we joined some friends from CD and hit several DoN targets and cleared Anguish up to AMV. A few hiccups aside, it was a very prosperous night for TC. Experience gleaned on these events will prove useful as will the tastey baubles that fell TC's way.
Congratulations to Tankertoad on winning:
Congrats are also in order for Nulinx for winning:
In addition to these drops, Teeth from Yar'Lir went to 5 of TC's folks. Congrats to: Malifon, Adryea, Violette, Lazurynae and Danar!
Other items of interest were picked up by more TC Folks:
Zeespeede on the Beaded Hoop of Demise
Tofus on the Cloak of Wailing Woes
Driiel on the Sorrowmourn Stone
Qlarq on the Lightning Singed Mantle and Cloak of Wailing Woes
Mezmirizen on the Mindreavers Bracer of Coercion
On top of that, Congrats to Halwrath, Pakinya and Deevyous on picking up their Seal: Mastery of All for full Anguish Access and Loot Rights! And Finally, 2.0 Orbs were had by Adryea and Edimas!
It was a very lucrative night for TC in more ways that one!
- Fan Faire 2007-

Okay, yes it's true.
Rumors of TC running rampant in Las Vegas last weekend, losing clothing, shooting Patron like it was water, recruiting (and being recruited) and having a hell of a time are all true. Try as we might, we can't deny TC performed in true fasion. Zerg? Heh.. yeah.
Thursday night was a gathering of geeks as everyone started arriving in Las Vegas. After registering, everyone flew up to the rooftop of the Rio to schmooze and booze. TC folks were just starting to flock in when the event began to wane. That didn't stop us from getting a few more drinks after hours at our new Guild Lobby, the Tilted Kilt... a very savory mix of bar, food and fantasy schoogirl uniform wearing waitresses.
The following night, all the TC in the hotel got together for a great Chineese dinner and a few more drinks at the Tilted Kilt, which by the way is an environment so target rich, that even Icy could have gotten lucky. Then we spent some time with Cestus Dei... who's Guild Leader was looking a little green around the gills from celebrating his 21st Birthday - gotta work that Alcohol tolerance Roohaha! Of course, we couldn't resist buying him a Long Island Ice Tea, which he glaringly accepted and promptly downed.... followed by what looked like a Boiler Maker. CD are definately some very good people and we were happy to share a few drinks and stories with them.
Following that fiasco, we adjourned poolside where TC opted to show their Guild Leader their faithfulness, comradarie and loyalty... by tossing him into the pool. Once the wet GL changed, it was back to shooting Patron and raiding the Open Bar poolside! After more drinks, some dancing and watching a certain guildy trying to get her pants back on (truthfully worth the price of admission) we SHOULD have adjourned for the night. But... we decided to raid Malifon and Drefanie's Room. We won't talk about the carnage, or anyone's behavior. When talk turned to paying a Transexual to give Icy a Lapdance as payback for the afore mentioned Guild Leader dunking, Mrs. Aaikan promptly whipped out the American Express card (don't leave home without it) to offer as payment. Ultimately, we decided that what happens in Vegas, stays in vegas... unless you've got pictures!
Saturday night was the final night of Fan Faire and TC commanded two tables at the banquet. We were a little surprised that some guilds were a bit intimidated by TC's presence and decided to move their table to a safer location in the banquet hall. Either that, or they just couldn't hang with the big boys. But the night was full of surprises with a hokey real life wedding followed by a in-game wedding. Congrats to the new bride and groom, whoever they were. After the dinner fiesta, TC adjourned to the newly renamed TC Guild Hall (formerly the Lucky Strike Bowling Alley). More shots, more fun, More Opal stuffing a tip down her sexy waitresses top!
Overall the weekend was a blast. Einile and Dartanyen almost made it to the finals in the Best of the Best contests, and we all discovered that Ein will dance for anybody (including Brenlo) for a T-Shirt! It was such a good time that we've decided to make a TC get-together an annual event!
Update for JULY 22nd, 2007
- Rikki Downed-
We're well into summer now and things have slowed down a bit for TC as it always does this time of year. With people on vacation, enjoying some of Life's Real Adventures and just out enjoying the weather, raiding turnout has slowed down a bit. But that doesn't mean TC's progress has slowed down. Continuing to farm ToB for gear, completing Epic conquests for guildies, and dong Augmentation runs into CoA has prepared TC to stretch itse'f and grow, even in these slower months. And on Friday, 7/20/07, TC took down an elusive target with only a less-than-perfect raid roster. Rikki was finally taken down and dropped some very nice upgrades. Truthfully, TC's been struggling to get Rikki down for the past couple of attempts, but this time, everyone had brought their A-Game and we were successful.
Thanks to Einile's great Raid Leadership, Kazbar's unwavering focus and Dakthor's strict determination, this big draggy finally fell. Here's a peek at the goodies the dragon dropped on this occasion:
Congratulations to Quinnman on having the winning bid and taking home some new britches!
Rikki was kind enough to drop TWO of these nice neck pieces - Congrats to Driiel and Aenarye on having the winning bids for this nice upgrade.
Look for more upcoming Riki events, this is one drgaon that will move to farm status very quickly.
- Fan Faire -
With Fan Faire only a week and a half away, we're still looking for more Guildies, Guests and Friends to sign up and regsiter. At this point, almost the entire Officer group will be attending this year as well as several of our members. Even though On-Line Registration is now closed, you can still come down and sign up live and in person. The first round of Patron is on me!
Update for JULY 6th, 2007
Our insightful warrior of few words had this to say recently:
Errr.. Well said sir!
- Fan Faire -
SOE is hosting this years Fan Fair in Las Vegas, Nevada! What a great excuse to get some Triad Folks together for some drinking, partying, dancing, eating and carnal activities! Signed up so far: Lazurynae, Edimas & Adryea, Malifon & Drefanie, Dartanyen & Einile, Aaikan & Brandiee, Katniptabby, Icyone, and Felorfie. We're still waiting for more TC sign-ups (c'mon you guys & gals) so we can dominate the Faire! It's only 25 Days away, but still plenty of time to register. It's surely destined to become an infamous event in TC's history...
- Epic Encounters -
Last night's raid against Rikki got cancelled at the last minute due to turnout. Yes, the summer is upon us and people seem to think lounging at the pool, having bbq's, going to the movies, and generally enjoying life takes precedent! Oh well, not to be deterred, we had two impromptu Epic Events that we were able to jump into to get two more people a little bit closer to their Epics.
First on the Agenda was this gentleman for yours truly! Valdoon Kel`Novar wasn't too pleased to see TC invading his domain and he sent several of his Guards and Lookouts to stop us from getting further into this Hard LDON.
Of course, Valdoon had delusions of grandeur and after a little fight, TC took him down. Congrats ME for getting the epic drop and getting one step closer to my 2.0! Congrats also to Ravenstike on winning a nice, new shiney:
We then turned our attention over to The Plane of Hate for a quick visit to the Maaestro of Rancor for Gaklar's 1.5 Pre-Quest.
A few minutes later and it was all over. Gaklar looted his piece and the Maestro dropped a nice twink robe that went to Rot. Congrats Gak!
Update for JUNE 18th, 2007
/EM Hands Malifon the loaded pistol...
Update for JUNE 1st, 2007
Triad Continuum has so many helpful, talented and giving members that it's hard to thank all of them all the time for their contributions. I've decided that one way to recognize the contributions these folks give to the guild, is the create a "Member of the Month" to honor them and the fine deeds they perform for the guild as a whole. When struggling to choose who will receive the very first, TC MoM award, I was stuck because frankly, so many people qualify. We have several individuals who work hard behind the scenes, doing research, developing strategy, doing some long term thinking and giving much of themselves to the guild. The choice was extremely difficult to make but I finally decided our first TC Member of the Month winner to be:
Shifting focus, Tonights Raid Events put a few more notches on TCs belt and saw one member earn his 2.0 and three others receive 1.5 drops. First, lets congratulate our 2.0 Winner, KAZBAR, seen here offering a salute to the guild:
And no wonder, having received his prized Epic 2.0:
Congrats also go out to Aenarye, Valia and Feadil, each getting another step closer to their 1.5s!
In other news:
TC's been keeping up the stomping, kicking and screaming. No, we're not having temper tantrums, we've been busy farming ToB for gear, flagging for Anguish and making those weekend Anguish Aug runs. Here are some screenies of other loot awards over the past week or so:
Grats to Kworm:
..and to Zyban:
..and to Lazurynae:
...and to Icyiiv:
Congrats to all!
Update for May 20, 2007
We haven't updated the Website in almost a month but that's becasue we've been busy testing our skills against some unfamiliar content and unfamiliar mobs. The fun in trying untested mobs comes from learning new strategy and applying it with our limited numbers. While not always a win, I view each new mob attempted as a success because we learned from the encounter. Strategy, positioning, what works..what doesn't. With each loss, we come closer to a win. And TC's members have been troopers, allowing the leadership to take them into new directions and stretch their skills without any complaints.
On the win side, we've completed a slew of 1.5 and 2.0 Epic fights for Violette, Zyban, Zaylo, Quinn and Tnesy. We've knocked out several Anguish Augment runs, flagged a couple more people for ToB and we've gained several new members in this past month. June's calendar is already filling up and we'll knock out some of our old familiar targets for upgrades, continue our Anguish runs yet still keep some diversity in targets by attempting a few new mobs to boot
In other news, TC's going to represent at this years Annual SOE Fain Faire, to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada. Aside from the usual treats that LV has to offer, the casinos and hotels will be filled with some TC Freaks as well. I hope everyone will come to get a chance to meet each other, have a good time, partake in some Ales and Spirits and kick your shoes off in Malifon's Room!
Update for April 27, 2007
Hmm.. what's got Malifon doing the Barbarian Dance of the She Wolves?
Yep, recently Triad trotted over to Nobles Causeway to help Malifon complete his final 2.0 battle. We were a little sidetracked since another Warrior from outside TC was also seeking the same mob. Of course, Triad being the proud and repututable guild that we are, we couldn't help but offer our assistance to the Warrior for his open raid against the target. Success was assured and the Warrior also won his 2.0.
After a brief respite, TC was going to make another run of the mob, this time for Malifon:
Several of the other Raid members left, apparently not interested in returning the favor. Unfortunately, they took with them the luck needed to respawn the mob. So we resigned ourselves to fight another epic mob and return to this one later. But our thanks for those who did remain - you were truly a class act.
As it worked out, TC was victorious once again, this time against a Shadowknight Epic Mob. And nobody looked happier than our favorite stinky troll:
Congrats Darkreaper Gasser on finally completing your quest and receiving your just rewards:
But... what about Malifon?
Once again Triad returned to Nobles Causeway. Yes, we lost a few along the way who had to log for the night. As we gathered 'round the first subject in this battle, we couldn't help but feel his fear as he trembled while peering at our banner:
The fight was all but flawless and though it took a little longer with the fewer members of the raid, in the end Triad was once again the victors:
Congrats Malifon on the success of your final battle and your prize:
In the end, Triad comes through with their typical style, grace and maturity. Congrats Triad, you are truly in a class all your own!
Update for April 15, 2007
Ummmm, yeah.. not gonna go there....
Anyway, I recently upgraded to a new supercomputer and I'm still migrating programs and files over from the old one, so it's been a long time since our last update.
So far this month, we've seen a good practical joke from our friends at SoE, some more nice loot awards, more completed epics, more backflagging and more content. Where do we start? Perhaps with this quick screenshot of SoE's idea of an April Fools gag:

Yep... the folks at sony do have a sense of humor (that's why they invented Necros and Shadowknights). I have to admit, there was much less lag with the new stick-figure character models. But it WAS kind of hard to tell the boys from the girls....
Moving on, we have pushed through and are still working epics hard. We've done some smaller fights for 1.5s and 2.0s and we most recently finished up an Epic for Mandi:

Wizards got their chance at a 2.0 drop as well. Congrats to Edimas on picking up his drop from this guy, after our first failed attempt:

Violette made a run for the exit when she saw what this nasty guy was capable of.....
...but we ALL knew what she was thinking... and those of us on our Teamspeak Server heard her loud and clear:
Unfortunately for Violette, she DID fade.. into the sunset. However after regrouping and giving it another go, TC won the day and Edimas received his drop. Congrats again Edi!
Update for March 12, 2007
As many know, some of our more prestigous members are temporarily AFK. Some due to personal issues, some are moving, some have work restraints that keep them from joining us on our Raid Nights. Whenever you have a core group of members unavailable, their absence is noted almost immediately simply by the lack of their classes and abilities on Raids. With that said, it's very pleasing to see how TC is adapting and overcoming this temporary situation.
Tonight we took on Volkara with limited numbers, limited healers and limited melee. The outcome? Well see for yourself:
While we did have a few deaths and we don't want to break our arms patting ourselves on the back, TC was in good form and did exceptionally well with all things considered. Congrats TC! And Congrats to our loot winners this evening: Nekys and Sharla each winning
And lets also send congrats to EDIMAS, EDKNE, JEANNISHIA, SONBIT, ERCHOG, VIOLETTE and MALIFON who completed their Tier 3 DON and congrats to BOLTRON and KIRIAN on picking up their Spinners and getting another step closer to completing their Tier 3's!
Our usually grumpy, sedated, underspoken MA for the night had this to say:
We wonder where he's going to be eating tomorrow.....
Update for March 9, 2007
Destria's 1.5
We know that Destria has been working hard on her 1.5. But Friday night we were slightly disapponted to find that Taskmaster Mirot was being taken down, even as we were prepping our raid to do the same! Rather than wait the erroneously reported 2 hour wait for a repop, we decided to head over the the Scarlet Desert and take out one of Kirian's 1.5 Epic guys, the Elite Sun Revenant. Being slightly short handed, the MA honors fell to yours truly - who did an outstanding job if I may say so - and eliminated the mob. Congrats to Kirian on getting another phase done in his final stretch to his 1.5!
After checking and findingTaskmaster Mirot was up, TC regrouped in Lesser Faydark and successfully removed this guy from the face of Norrath. Again. Of course, we were all surpised to find the LOOT that awaited us.
Finally, we had enough and disbanded the raid for the night... or did we? Doing a last minute rally of the troops, TC gathered again to help Destria for her final fight! But first, a short tour of Siren's Grotto and Western Wastes was necessary.
Everybody wave and say thanks to your tour guide!
Yes, we Triads just love our short lil, Short-Bus driver. Apparently some of the phone books he uses to sit on had slipped out from beneath him during the excursion - but... that's another story.
Finally, everyone found their way to the Wakening Lands (Lord Marr, what did we do before Ports were available?) and Destria spawned Dark Disciple Master for the raid to consume. The fight didn't last long and was remarkably well contained and neatly done. Destria looted her final piece and is now the proud owner of a brand new, sparkly 1.5:

Please join TC in congratulating Destria on a job well done!
Update for March 8, 2007
A TC First!
We've all been a little bit busy to really focus on Epics, but...... It should come as no surprise that one enterprising young cleric managed to complete the quest when nobody was looking!
Congratulations Einile! Very well deserved! Visit THIS LINK to share in the congrats!
We've also been farming the hell out of Theater of Blood. Almost to the point where we're giving more Congrats to Rot than to anyone else. We don't know who this Rot character is, but he's a lot like Barbie - that chick gets everything! More info can be viewed by visiting us HERE !
Thanks to Primeval, TC's Edimas won some nice Kicks on a recent raid in MPG:

Congrats Edimas!
And finally....
What's this????
TC joined some friends in Anguish recently and tackled quite a few, hard hitting mobs!
ZERGING was the strategy (Yes, Zerg IS a strategy) while we beat our way to the named mobs in the zone. Here's just one snapshot of the fun and challenging encounters:
What's Next you ask??

Stay tuned for more!
Ringing in the New Year !!
We've been exceptionally busy these past weeks, working hard at continuing our efforts in ramping up our members!
Check out this LINK if you wish to see the rewards we've been reaping as a result of our hard work!
Also, it seems that Pink is the New Gray, when it comes to fashion. Check out what some of our members have been doing in their spare time HERE.
And finally, HERE ARE a few snapshots of some TC folks in the Plane of Time. Yes, several have been flagged in courtesy of our friends at Cestus Dei. Thanks CD!

Here's to a very busy and prosperous New Year!
