TRIAD NEWS (May 9th, 2008)

In the news this month: TC vs. Jelvan Event / Jayla's 2.0 / Heartlady makes a stunning announcement

Friday night during our weekly run through the Citadel of Anguish, we decided to take another go at the Jelvan event. This event is not small walk in the park for a guild like TC, that lacks the numbers in specific classes. The event itself is the equivilent of 3 mini raids running simultaneously. It was a challenging and fun event and I'm happy to say we were successful. Much of the credit goes to Kimusume who put her take on the old standard strategy to win this event. The rest of the credit goes to the TC die hards who never say 'whatevah' and give up. Nice job TC!

The loot from this event isn't too shabby:

For some reason, Driiel felt he needed to downgrade from his 2.0 for this nice sword. Hardly an even trade off but this is one damn fine sword!

And congrats to Qlarq on upgrading his waist item with this! (note the VERY nice haste on this belt):

Jayla's 2.0
Jayla has been anxiously patient in waiting for the Orb to complete her 2.0 Epic Quest. Friday's Jelvan event finally brought about her opportunity to loot one, which made her so happy, she was even willing to go on a date with Zeespeede.

Congo-rats Jayla!

Heartlady makes a stunning annoucement
In OTHER news:

Glad we got that settled Heart! Please don't forget to give us regular updates - you now have a captive audience :D

Let's see.. While everyone else is using T. Rowe Price or Merill Lynche, TC has insight into Skornax's master retirement plan:

And finally, here's one Ranger's take on doing a makeover on Malifon:

Ragefire 2.0 FTW!
Yeah, we've done this guy before but for some reason, we seemed to have difficulty repeating tthe success. Not to be deterred, we gave it another try last night with some VERY positive results!

And just for shitz and giggles, we decided to do it AGAIN! Yes, back to back Ragefire fights. While it's true the first round wasn't the prettiest, we definately improved our style on the second event. Congrats to Skornax and Destria for finally completing their 2.0s:

Here's a screenie of Dest showing off her new shiney!

As you can image, Dest was passing out the shots like there was no tomorrow! Thankfully, she had enough Patron to go around!

April Fools in Everquest
So, this year, instead of turning our toons into little stick figures, SoE decided to put us in touch with our more "feminine" or darker sides:

Driiel was later seen, fondling his newly found but quite impressive boobies. But there's no truth to the rumor that he was looking for someone to give him a nipple ring.

Here's more of the April Fools gag at work:

Reldarr and Ronnie playing dress-up and trying to look like twins - separated at birth!

Ronnie again, and Oriz who never looked better.

Ashenback - where have you been all our life?
Feeling a little bored with some of the usual fare, TC recently headed in a different direction and caught Ashenback waiting for some attention. Not wanting to disappoint, TC gave the draggy the ass-kicking it was asking for:

Herbertt had high bid and won a pretty nice bauble:

Congrats Herb! With that kind of Haste you better learn how to FD. (See Zippy for some insight in that department).

GD SoE and the Elusive Fabled Mobs:
TC has been trying like hell to catch some of these elusive Fabled PoP mobs up, but when they're on 72 hour times, it makes it difficult at times. Damn you SoE! Give us more opportunity and stop catering to those 'L33t" guilds with all the Sony Devs in 'em. It's bad enough you cater to Bards and dis us poor Pallys. Nevertheless, we still managed to keep busy hunting down some older Fabled Mobs and getting a few upgrades in the process.

Here we see Malifon who finally got a Fabled Familar:

TRIAD NEWS (March 13, 2008)

Yeah, I know I'm lacking in updating the webpage. It's been a hectic couple of months in RL and updating the page never quite made it into my top 3 list of priorities. Sorry, my bad.

But as usual, TC's been keeping busy. Anguish seems to be our zone at the moment and we'll continue to farm there until the loot becomes trivial or everyone has whatever they need from this zone. There have been some nice loot drops and several of our folks have been making great strides in upgrading their gear.

In addition to Anguish, we've continued to complete 2.0 Epics for most all classes in the Guild. Our troublespot seems to be Ragefire, the Cleric's 2.0. But that's just a matter of time.

As a sidenote, we seem to have become famous (infamous?) lately, what with the number of TC folks who have earned mention at Alla's, check out the "Player News" section to the left and view those players who have been spotlighted elsewhere. And while I was updating this page, I also took the opportunity to update our NOTABLE QUOTES page. Sometimes, you just gotta live in the moment.

Anyway, here's some screenies of what we've been doing (and getting) lately:

Congrats AAIKAN on FINALLY getting that 2.0!

Congrats to DREFANIE on her new switch! Now maybe she'll be able to keep MALIFON in line...

Congrats to SHAREE on winning this nice upgrade

Congrats to ADRYEA for winning this little trinket!

Congrats KWORM and TANKERTOAD on winning new Neck Piecies!

Grats to TOFUS for winning the Kyv Eye of Marksmanship (now maybe he'll actually HIT his targets)

Congratulations to LADY DREFANIE for winning this Rune of Astral Celerity

THIS JUST IN:
And just to kill any rumors, and put to rest that old adage: "If you don't got pictures, you don't got shit":

Hmm.. It would explain a lot of that Warrior temperment.I wonder if Dref knows about this....

And speaking of Warriors... here's one that's soon to be Fabled and will definately be on the radar of TC this coming month:

So until next time true believers....

TRIAD NEWS (February 01, 2008)

I thought I would take a little diversion from our regular Raid Screenies and Loot Award Pics, to show a lighter side to TC.

Yes, believe it or not, there are people behind the toons.....some even come with a sense of humor. And although we never allow a Jester to be popped at any of our raids, for some reason, it still happens occasionally. Generally a swift disciplinary axe falls heavy on the head of whomever brought the little goober, but in this instance, we were able to catch a rare glimps of a what the real man behind the toon looks like:

Drefanie definately liked the new look on her man but you know women, they always try to do a "man makeover" whenever they get the chance. Nice job on Yar'Lir btw Mali.

Here we see some unadulterated commentary on a key raid role:

It's no wonder why I sometimes, feel like Rodney Dangerfield.

TRIAD NEWS (January 02, 2008) YAR'LIR DOWNED!

Starting out the new year with a big take-down!

TC had another first tonight when we decided to take on the challenges of Yar'Lir. This Tier 4 Dragon was no pushover but TC held it together in a knock-down-drag-out fight. As the picture shows, TC succeeded. Some excellent teamwork from our crew and Dakthor leading the raid, combined to take TC to victory against this mob. Nice job all!

Loot Winners:

Congratulations to Driiel and Tofus, each winning one of these nice rings tonight.

Congratulations to Wildwilly on a new back item.

Moving on, we threw in a quick Circle of Drakes event which finally gave us a drop EVERYONE was after:

Congrats to"Imatankandneedthisonmydruid" Quinnman on bidding and winning this extremely nice Augment!

If this is a sign of things to come, then TC's going to have a great year in 2008!

TRIAD NEWS (January 01, 2008) RINGING IN THE NEW YEAR!

To all of TC and all of our friends and guests, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's hard to believe that another year in TC has come and gone. We've seen some amazing things last year and we've jumped by leaps and bounds, improving our membership, our skill and our weapons and gear.

Check out last years web page < HERE > where our biggest challenges at the beginning of last year were 1.5 mobs. Now, we're standing tall hitting 2.0 mobs as needed. Also, last year at this time, we had just barely stepped foot into Anguish, and we weren't nearly capable of taking on any of the big named in the zone by ourselves. Now we are not only raiding Anguish on a regular basis, but we're taking the zone by storm, farming named mobs to continue to gear up our toons.

TC's come a long way in a year and this coming year promises to hold some more exciting challenges and some great accomplishments for Triad Continuum. We hope you'll be a part of it with us.
